Privacy Policy
How Teens Wanna Know collects, uses and discloses information across its websites, video player, radio service and related services.
Last updated 10 September 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Teens Wanna Know collects, uses and discloses information across its websites, video player, radio service and related services.
1. Who operates the Services
Teens Wanna Know is operated by Pena Media Group ("PMG," "we," "us" or "our").
This Privacy Policy covers:
- teenswannaknow.com
- play.teenswannaknow.com
- radio.teenswannaknow.com
- videos.teenswannaknow.com
- Other Teens Wanna Know pages or services that link to this Policy
Together, these are the "Services."
2. Information we collect
The information collected depends on which part of the Services you use.
Video and radio player
The player does not offer visitor accounts, profiles, public comments, chat or direct messaging. We do not ask player visitors to provide names, email addresses, telephone numbers or dates of birth.
The player may process the following limited information:
- Voting information. When a browser gives a video a thumbs-up, the player stores a browser marker identifying the videos that browser has voted for. This prevents an ordinary refresh from automatically counting another vote. The marker is not associated with an account, name or email address. Our server stores aggregate vote totals for each video.
- Advertising-delivery information. When a video containing an advertisement or promotional message is delivered, we record information needed to count that delivery, such as the advertisement, associated programming and date. We use these totals to operate the advertising system and report aggregate delivery figures to sponsors. We do not use them to build advertising profiles.
- Technical logs. Our hosting and security systems may automatically receive IP addresses, timestamps, requested URLs, referring pages, browser or device information, response codes and similar technical data. We use this information to deliver the Services, diagnose problems, maintain security and prevent abuse.
Advertising on the player is contextual. An advertisement is selected according to the programming being watched, not according to a profile of the viewer. We do not use an advertising exchange, real-time bidding system or behavioral-advertising network on the player.
Article site
The article site may use the following services and technologies:
- Google Analytics. Used to measure visits, page views and interactions. Google may process device, browser, approximate-location and usage information. We do not use Google Analytics to personalize advertising.
- StatCounter. Used to measure traffic and understand how the site is used.
- PMG analytics. Our analytics service, currently delivered through mcm.aicreators.us, may process a random browser identifier, page viewed, referring page or domain, device category and related usage information. We use this information to measure readership and improve the Services. It is not used to select personalized advertising.
- Embedded media. Pages containing embedded YouTube or other third-party media may cause technical and usage information to be transmitted to the provider. The provider processes that information under its own privacy terms.
- Affiliate links. Some articles contain clearly identified affiliate links. If you follow one, the destination retailer may record that the visit originated from us. The retailer's privacy policy governs its collection and use of information after you leave our Services.
The article site does not currently use an advertising network or behavioral advertising pixels.
Video, caption and radio servers
Servers used to deliver video files, captions and radio streams may automatically process technical request information, including IP address, timestamp, requested file or stream, browser or player information, referring page and response status.
We use this information to deliver media, manage capacity, diagnose failures, secure the Services and detect abusive traffic.
Purchases
If you purchase a product or service, Stripe or another identified payment provider processes the payment.
We may receive transaction information needed to complete and support the purchase, including:
- Name
- Email address
- Billing or shipping information
- Products purchased
- Transaction amount
- Payment status
- Fraud-prevention information
We do not receive or store the complete payment-card number when payment is handled through Stripe.
Communications and subscriptions
If you email us, request support, participate in an interview, submit material or voluntarily join a mailing list, we collect the information you choose to provide.
That information may include your name, email address, message, submitted material and information necessary to respond to the request or provide the requested service.
We do not add people to marketing mailing lists without their affirmative request or another lawful basis.
3. How we use information
We may use information to:
- Deliver video, audio, articles, captions, products and other Services.
- Process votes and maintain aggregate vote totals.
- Measure programming, advertising and promotional delivery.
- Understand traffic and audience engagement.
- Complete purchases and provide customer support.
- Respond to communications and requests.
- Detect fraud, automated vote manipulation, attacks and other abuse.
- Diagnose technical problems and maintain security.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Use.
- Protect the rights, safety and property of PMG, our audience and others.
We do not use information collected through the player to create behavioral advertising profiles.
4. When information may be disclosed
We may disclose information:
- To hosting, analytics, payment, email, security and other service providers that help operate the Services.
- To a sponsor in aggregate form, such as the total number of times an advertisement was delivered.
- When required by law, legal process or a valid government request.
- When reasonably necessary to investigate fraud, security incidents, attacks or violations of our Terms.
- To protect the rights, safety or property of PMG, our users or others.
- In connection with a financing, merger, acquisition, reorganization, sale of assets or transfer of part or all of the business, subject to applicable law.
We do not give sponsors lists identifying individual viewers.
5. Sale and behavioral advertising
We do not sell personal information.
We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as that term is defined under California law.
Advertising delivered directly through the player is selected according to programming rather than information about a particular viewer.
6. Browser controls, Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
You can use your browser settings to delete or restrict cookies and other browser storage. Deleting the player's voting marker may allow the browser to vote again.
We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. Because we do not engage in those practices, a Global Privacy Control signal does not change how we use information.
We do not currently respond differently to other "Do Not Track" signals because there is no uniform industry standard governing those signals.
Blocking browser storage or third-party media may prevent some features from functioning correctly.
7. Data retention
We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including operating the Services, maintaining security, completing transactions, resolving disputes and meeting legal or accounting obligations.
Retention periods vary by category:
- Browser voting markers remain until they expire or are cleared from the browser.
- Aggregate vote totals may be retained as part of the historical performance record for a video.
- Daily advertising-delivery figures are ordinarily deleted after 90 days, although aggregate campaign totals may be retained.
- Technical and security logs are retained according to operational and security needs.
- Analytics information is retained according to our settings and the applicable provider's retention controls.
- Transaction records may be retained as required for accounting, tax, fraud-prevention and legal purposes.
- Communications are retained for as long as reasonably necessary to respond, maintain appropriate records and protect legal rights.
We may retain information longer when preservation is required by law, litigation, a security investigation or another legitimate legal need.
8. Children's privacy
Teens Wanna Know is a general-audience entertainment service intended for users age 13 and older. It is not directed to children under 13.
We do not knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13. If we learn that we collected personal information from a child under 13 in circumstances covered by applicable law, we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
A parent or legal guardian may contact us concerning personal information believed to relate to a child. We may request information reasonably necessary to verify the requester's identity and authority and to locate the relevant information.
Requests concerning a minor appearing in an interview, photograph, recording or other published editorial coverage are evaluated individually. Depending on the circumstances, we may remove, correct, edit, restrict or retain the content as permitted by applicable law.
9. Privacy requests
Depending on where you live and which laws apply, you may have rights concerning your personal information, including rights to request access, correction or deletion.
Requests may be sent to info@teenswannaknow.com.
We may request information reasonably necessary to:
- Verify the requester's identity or authority.
- Locate the relevant information.
- Protect information from unauthorized disclosure or deletion.
Some information may be exempt from a request or may need to be retained for legal, security, transaction, accounting or editorial purposes.
Because the player generally does not collect names or accounts, we may be unable to connect anonymous technical records or aggregate counters with a particular person.
10. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical and organizational measures designed to protect information under our control.
No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Do not send sensitive personal, financial or identification information through ordinary email unless we specifically request an appropriate method for providing it.
11. Third-party services and links
The Services may link to or embed content from YouTube, Stripe, Amazon, social platforms, sponsors, retailers and other third parties.
Those services operate under their own terms and privacy policies. This Policy does not govern information a third party collects after you interact with its service or leave our Services.
12. International visitors
The Services are operated from and hosted primarily in the United States. Information may be processed and stored in the United States and other locations used by our service providers.
If you access the Services from another country, its data-protection laws may differ from those in your location.
13. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in the Services, technology, vendors or applicable requirements.
The "Last updated" date identifies the current version. Material changes will apply prospectively from the stated effective date unless otherwise required by law.
